Lawsuit alleges iPod exploded in child's pants pocket

PC Magazine.com reports about a Kentucky child who received second degree burns because his iPod exploded in his pants pocket. A ccording to a lawsuit filed in Ohio district court by the child's mother, t he child was in school on December 4 with the iPod in his pocket; the on/off control in the off position. He heard a loud pop and immediately felt a burning sensation on his leg. The Independent of London profiles Louisville native and indie songsmith Bonnie 'Prince' Billy . Kentuckians familiar with his music know him as Will Oldham . Oldham, who performed in Lexington in November, is promoting his new album Beware and will be performing in London in mid-April. Tennessee is experiencing a rash of songbird deaths and the suspected cause is bird seed from Kentucky, according to a story in the Tennessean . Purple finches, pine siskins and American goldfinches are apparently dying from salmonella poisoning. Kentucky-based Burkmann Feeds was voluntarily recalling Wild Birds Unlimited Wildlife Blend bird food , though a connection had not been found between the deaths and the feed.
