In late November, Kansas City artist and noted children’s book illustrator Shane Evans left for the African kingdom of Lesotho to work with children affected by HIV/AIDS. Funded by a grant from the Lighton International Artist Exchange Program, the trip lasted six weeks and included stops in Botswana and Johannesburg, South Africa.
